Kagome had been through many hardships as of late, because of certain circumstances she found herself travelling alone, she had had to deal with many unsavory things on her way but she found she was better off for it, although she missed her friends.  She would be she had to do this on her own.  Midoriko had come to her and told her so, told her that the company she kept was keeping Kagome from fulfilling her full potential.  This is why Kagome had to leave.  But she knew that she would be able to get in touch with herself.
