Crouching down near a dead body, she looked at the open-wounded neck, seeing a strange liquid seep from the open muscle.

Giving the surrounding area another peek to check if the coast was clear, she tore a piece of fabric from the corpse’s body, one without blood, and dabbed a bit on the wound.

It was yellowish.

A clatter nearby made her jump and she looked around, frantically trying to search what made that noise. But nothing seem to appear, however she wasn’t about to take a chance with her life and try to investigate what made that sound. Rising to her feet, she gave one last look around before leaving.

Well, she would have left if something wasn’t attached to her leg and holding her in place. Oh my god, it feels like a hand! Turning her head, the visual of a distorted face groaned at her, its mouth gapping as if to bite her.

“Let go, you stupid zombie!” She gave a harsh kick to its head, avoiding the mouth when her toe bashed against its eye.

A glow of pink encased her hand, and she directed it towards the downed creature, unleashing a stream of power.

After a couple seconds, she gasped.

The creature was unharmed, but disorientated. Taking her chance, she kicked once more and it released her. She ran away, hearing the sounds of bodies moving in their place.

What is going on? It’s like the Dance of the Dead, but Kagura’s dead. She went around a corner, the streets empty as she pondered on this piece of information. It can’t be So’unga, we banished that to hell, and only certain individuals have access to that place.

It was troubling, for someone to have this kind of power, to control the dead.

Probably a lunatic?
