Cannibals

A/N: There's a reference to Resident Evil, so I do not own it. Anyways enjoy! :)

Cannibals

Harsh gasps escaped her lips, her feet aching as they pounded against the ground. The flaps of her sleeping yukata were open, scandalously revealing tan, smooth legs, but at the moment, she didn’t give a hoot about that.

She was running for her life.

Maybe they are zombies! She quickly observed the area, witnessing the grotesque scenes of the villagers eating one another, the people who haven’t been turned into the mindless beings.

It made her sick and her stomach gurgled unpleasantly as the creatures tore into the soft flesh with a ravaged hunger, their mouths bloody.

The screams of the little girl disappeared, only seconds after she made the daring dash to rescue her. It saddened her, she stalled too much and there was a high possibility that the girl died, probably being eaten alive at the moment.

Another gurgle and she held her hand to her mouth, bile rising as her stomach churned once again. She needed to think of something else and not chewed up, barely hanging, body parts.

A symphony of groans continued behind her.

They were close, but far enough where they couldn’t grab her. She was tiring, exhaustion creeping down her bones, her throat feeling dry as if she swallowed cotton balls. Each breath she inhaled, a sting throbbed her throat, causing her to cough several times to relieve that horrible sensation.

Turning the corner, she came across something.

What is this?! Resident Evil or something?! Before her stood something; she wasn’t sure what it was exactly. Something that resembled a bear, but the worse part was, it was covered in only reddish muscle, the skin completely gone.

She stood still, her heart frantically beating as its eyes glowered at her, its tongue hanging out between hideous fangs.

Can this night get any worse?!
