Kagome’s mind shifted to the other friends she left behind. ‘I hope Shippo’s ok... I know he’s safe at the Kitsune School and InuYasha would never let anything bad happen to him, but I can’t help but worry about the little guy!’

Kagome was shocked out of her musings by a knock at her door.

‘Funny,’ she thought, ‘I’m not expecting anyone...?’

Kagome opened the door, only to find there was no one there.

“Damn kids... hey, what’s this?” she muttered, looking down.

‘Happy Mother’s Day,’ was written on a large card in elegant, looping letters.
