With an audible ‘click’, Kagome shut her mouth and closed the fridge door. Counting to twenty in her head, the woman took in a few deep and calming breaths before opening the door again and looking inside.

He had ravaged the contents of her fridge. There was no other word for it – consumed didn’t have violent enough connotations. Sesshoumaru had literally decimated all of the food she’d had, and it had been two week’s worth of groceries.

The inuyoukai had come home earlier in the day after having been out all night; he’d recently had urges to switch into giant inu form and she hadn’t been able to stop him from transforming in public one day… So now, whenever he felt the itch in his fingers, she pointed him in the direction of the mountains and waved cheerily. And he had just returned, covered in leaves and smelling like he’d gone for a dip in the waterfall, but had gone straight to the kitchen as opposed to the bathroom and fixed himself a snack. Kagome had waited until he wasn’t so hungry to suggest he have a wash, before entering the room he had just vacated and preparing to get a little something herself.

But there was nothing left. Of anything. He’d even eaten two whole daikon radishes, and he didn’t even like them that much!

As the horrified human stared dumbly into her empty fridge, a thought wandered across her mind.

‘Where does all of it go?’
