She had no idea how it happened, regardless of the fact that it happened practically every single night. She suspected that Sesshoumaru being a dog had something to do with it.

Kagome groaned as she had to – once again – wrench herself free from her duvet, which her mate had – once again – somehow managed to end up on the top of, his weight causing it to plaster her against the mattress. It took her a full four minutes to extract herself from the bedding, and this was a good morning.

Glancing behind her as she left the dim room, her eyes narrowed as the demon, who was still blissfully unconscious, splayed across the bed, his large frame easily stretching over the entire thing… And until he woke up and decided to get up, there would be no doing anything on her bed – forget making up the sheets!

Well, her new sheets might change something.

Mid-afternoon the same day (the time Sesshoumaru had finally decided to shift his lazy arse), the miko leapt into the room and ripped the rumpled sheets from the mattress, before unfolding crisp, freshly laundered sheets, and after laying them out to her satisfaction, Kagome removed the plastic packaging form around her woolenet sheet, putting it in place of the duvet.

Slipping her slippers from her feet, she quickly dived under the new covers, relishing in the smooth feeling against her skin and the pleasant warmth the woolly fabric gave, despite its lack of substance. She couldn’t wait for the next morning; to be able to leap out of bed without having to worry about being smothered in her sleep.

Azure eyes stared blankly at the ceiling. Slowly, the human turned her head towards her slumbering companion, her view filling up with rumpled silver hair and smooth expanses of alabaster skin. Kagome got out of bed.

It took nine minutes.

Stepping into the bathroom, the young woman vowed to burn the damn sheep garbage as soon as the dog got up.
