“Oh look, Lord Sesshomaru is here!” Eri and Yuka squealed.

Ayumi sighed happily while staring at the demon Lord. “I want to marry him, Kagome.”

Kagome rolled her eyes. “Who wants to marry a dog?” She muttered.

All of her friends’ eyes widened. Eri yanked her braided hair softly and started lecturing her about how hot Lord Sesshomaru is.

She yanked her hair back from Eri’s hold, fixed it, and said, “Okay! He is the most perfect man in the world!”

“That’s right!” They said in unison.

Kagome huffed softly and looked at the demon lord standing with his friends in the courtyard below them.  He was…perfect. Physically. But, his attitude was definitely a turn-off for her. He was always so cold, rude, and arrogant.

Even if he offered her his entire kingdom, she would still refuse him. The heart was still important than the face.

Suddenly, his gaze lifted from his friends to her face. His disinterested golden eyes pinned her in place, immobilizing her, sucking all the energy she had until she is just a statue standing there with wide eyes and wild heart.

“Kagome, what’s wrong?” Ayumi asked worriedly.

Finally, he turned away from her to talk to one of his friends, Kouga.

Kagome breathed a sigh of relief. “Nothing, I just—I’ll be l-late to my part-time job.” She stammered out an explanation while gathering all of her things.

“What?” Ayumi asked, surprised.

She scurries away clumsily.

“We still have classes!” Eri called after her.
