Prompt Coriander:

Glancing down at the petite woman, Lord Ukuri sighed. He hated having to explain his actions almost as much as Sesshomaru was known to, but this had to be done delicately.

“Rin—“

“That’s Lady Rin, Milord”

Bristling slightly at being corrected (add comma) the bird youkai held his comment and began again.

“Forgive me Lady Rin. It has come to my attention that you are unaware of the way that bird youkai, such as myself, I own a harem.” Ignoring the stiffening of her back, he continued on.

“And as such you must know the…ahem, the proper way things are done.”

The scent of coriander reached Rin’s nose as she tried to figure out where it was coming from, pinpointing it to the youkai beside her. Rin sneezed as the scent became stronger. For many years Rin had been allergic to the scent. As she continued to sneeze, Lord Ukuri looked at her with slight annoyance.

“Lady Rin, what is the reason you sneeze so much?”

“Lord Ukuri, I am unsure… The only thing that has ever made me sneeze this much is the smell of coriander, as I have a bad allergy to it.”

Lord Ukuri stiffened before blanching slightly. Getting up in a hurry, he looked to Rin then strode out of the gardens without so much as a ‘by your leave’. Confused but glad to be rid of him, Rin looked down at the ring on her right ring finger. Grinning sheepishly she sent a silent thank you to Shippo. With the ring she would have slightly heightened senses that of a mid-class demon.  Standing up and brushing the slight debris from her kimono, Rin went to look for her ‘partner-in-crime’ as Kagome had phrased it.
