The Simple Things In Life by Trust

Disclaimer: I don't own Inuyasha, I just borrowed it for fun.
Note: This is my first attempt at writing a Sess/Kag story so if it sucks then I apologize in advance. Also I apologize if there are any errors. I try not to make them, but no matter how many times I reread my work I still seem to miss them. Without further ado: Enjoy!

There was just something about him that she couldn’t quite put her finger on. Something that made him live up to the ‘perfection’ part of his name. The raven haired priestess just knew that it had nothing to do with the way held himself or even the power he had at his disposal. As much as she loved his silver hair, she knew it wasn’t that either.
She drew herself from her internal contemplation and discreetly examined him. The light from the fire danced across his features and made him seem even more ethereal than during the daylight. His posture was perfect, as always, and yet he seemed so relaxed. His legs were stretched out before him and the right crossed over the left at the ankle. He had his arms crossed over his chest as he leaned against the tree. His head was tilted just slightly towards his chest, his eyes closed, and the shadows that played over his pale skin darkened the usually magenta strips on his face.
Yet still she could not quite figure out just what it was that made the Western Lord so perfect to her. It was almost maddening to her at this point. It was not like she could just walk up to him and do whatever she pleased to him until she figured it out either. Current ally or not, those actions would be like signing her own death warrant.
Her subtle examination was apparently not quite as subtle as she had thought. For the next things she knew, her ice blue eyes were staring into his own eyes. It was only then that she figured out just what it was that made him so perfect to him. His gold eyes captivated her. Granted he and Inuyasha both had gold eyes, but the hanyou’s eyes were more of yellowish gold. The demon lord’s eyes were a bright and pure gold that she just couldn’t look away from, no matter how much she tried.
The smirk on his lips went unnoticed by all around him as he slowly and gracefully stood to his feet and made his way over to time traveling priestess. He leaned down so they were face to face and his silver locks blocked all view of them from everyone around them, “Tell me Ka-go-me, do you like what you see?”
She was so caught in his eyes and the way he practically purred her name that all she could do was nod her head repeatedly like some kind of bobble head doll. The slight smirk became even more pronounced at the way she responded, “Hn, you shall meet this Sesshomaru by the hot springs in half an hour.”
Once again she could only nod since it seemed as if her voice had been stolen. Ever so gently, which was quite odd to her, he placed his hand under her chin and tilted her head towards him. Without warning, his head descended until his lips met hers. And just as quickly as it had started, it was over, “Do not be late.”
And just like that he was gone. Slowly she blinked before she looked at those around her. It was only then that she noticed everyone was asleep. Everyone except Inuyasha that is, it seemed as if he had made himself scarce quite a while ago. Not that it mattered to her though. Kikyou could have him, since it seemed she had gotten the better end of the deal for once.
With a grin, she looked at the watch on her wrist and stood up. He told her not to be late but that didn’t mean that she couldn’t be early, right?
