Fabric

The next day the girls and some guards went to the market to pick out the fabrics for their dresses. They had already planned everything and now all they needed to do was purchase the things that where needed.

Kagome was bouncing from one place to another mumbling, “Oh I cannot find the color that I want for my dress.”

Kikyo on the other hand was eyeing a beautiful ivory colored fabric. As she ran her hand across the soft silk she decided that this was the color that she wanted her dress to be. She turned her attention to find the lady that owned the shop.

When she spotted her she called out, “Excuse me could I get some of this fabric?”

The lady smiled and nodded making her way over to Kikyo. Once there she took the bulk of fabric down to measure.

As she measured she gave a soft giggle, “Your friend seems to be in a bit of a tizzy trying to find the fabric color she wishes to have.”

Kikyo giggled, “Oh that is my little sister and it seems that she is perhaps I should try to help her.”

The lady smiled and nodded as Kikyo turned to make her way over to Kagome who looked on the verge of tears.

Kikyo placed a hand on Kagome’s shoulder, “Kagome are you okay?”

Kagome looked at her and sniffled tears filling her eyes, “No, I cannot find the color that I want.”

Kikyo ran her hand through Kagome’s hair soothingly, “Do not cry I will help you find it. What color are you looking for?”

Kagome held up what looked like a piece of string and when Kikyo took it to look at it her eyes widened in surprise.

Kikyo snapped her eyes to Kagome with a small smile on her face, “Kagome is this a strand of Sesshomaru’s hair?”

Kagome blushed and nodded her head. Kikyo burst out laughing.
