That afternoon found Kagome and Kikyo in the gardens relaxing and having light conversation.

Kagome giggled, “What was that look for this morning Kikyo?”

Kikyo huffed, “You know very well what it was for Kagome. Sometimes you can be a very devious creature did you know that?”

Kagome burst out laughing, “Yes I knew that Kikyo but in my defense it was time for us to get up.”

Kikyo nodded in agreement, “Have you and Sesshomaru spoken about mating?”

Kagome looked away, “We have not spoken of it lately.”

Kikyo pulled Kagome to face her, “I was serious Kagome I will not mate Inuyasha if you do not mate Sesshomaru.”

Kagome nodded her head, “This I know well Kikyo but I do not want you to lose out on your happiness as well.”

Kikyo shook her head, “Your happiness is my happiness Kagome!”

Kagome sighed, “I will speak with Sesshomaru about it tonight.”

Kikyo nodded with a smile, “Everything will work out Kagome you will see.”

Kagome looked into the sky, “I hope you are right Kikyo I really do.”

Kikyo stared at Kagome with worry written all over her features. She could not help but to worry she could tell that Sesshomaru had already stolen Kagome’s heart. She could only hope that he would not shatter it now that he had it. Kikyo turned her gaze back to the sky and sent a small prayer to the Kami that everything would work out just as she said.
