Aki sighed as he removed the beads, “I really thought you were Midoriko. I am sorry Lady Kagome I never meant to cause any harm I just wanted her back so badly.”

Kagome gave him a soft smile, “It is fine Aki and I understand. You did not cause any harm but what did you use to knock everyone out?”

Aki blushed, “It was a potion made by a witch strong enough to knock out the most powerful warriors in the world but it will not harm anyone.”

Kagome sighed in relief and stood to follow him out of the caves, “Aki I would like to be your friend if you will allow it.”

Aki gave her a genuine smile as he led her down a tunnel, “I would like that very much Lady Kagome.”

Kagome giggled, “Please just call me Kagome. How long will it take to get back?”

Aki thought for a moment, “It should not take long if we travel by the shadows.”

Kagome looked at him with wide eyes, “You can travel by the shadows?”

Aki smirked as they exited the tunnel into the sunlight, “Of course I can Kagome I am a shadow fox after all.”

Kagome grinned happily at that, “Then let’s go quickly.”

Aki nodded in agreement and wrapped an arm around her waist then stepped into the shadows. Kagome could not believe it one moment they had been standing in front of the cave exit and the next she was standing in the gardens with Aki beside her. However she was not prepared for the feral looking Sesshomaru that appeared before them in the next moment.
