Kagome groaned when she finally regain consciousness once she could think once more she looked around herself. She was in a cave on a bed of furs.
Kagome’s eyebrows scrunched up in confusion, “What happened where am I?”
She jumped slightly when she heard a voice, “You are in my home.”
Kagome tried to pinpoint the voice but it seemed like it was coming from everywhere at once. “Who are you and why did you take me?”
Kagome heard movement and focused on that spot as a man stepped out of the shadows. He was tall but not as tall as Sesshomaru with long wavy black hair and sparkling silver eyes.
The male answered in a sad voice, “You do not remember I am Aki I am your intended mate.”
Kagome’s eyes widened in fear and she tried to call on her powers but nothing happened. That’s when she noticed the beads now laying around her neck. She looked back to him in confused fear the question clear in her eyes.
Aki sighed, “The beads are suppressing your powers for the moment Midoriko.”
Kagome gasped, “Aki I am not Midoriko you have to understand that.”
Aki growled, “Why do you say such things Midoriko? Do you not love me anymore?”
Kagome searched her mind for something to say that would get her out of this. “Aki when was the last time you saw Midoriko?”
Aki looked at her in confusion but answered her question, “It has been more than two thousand years my love.”
Kagome decided she could work with this, “Aki how old was Midoriko the last time you saw her?”
Aki growled becoming annoyed with her questions, “You where twenty-five years old.”
Kagome grinned on the inside, “Aki there is no way I could be Midoriko. I am only eighteen years old. Look at me closely and you will see that I am not her. I know you loved her and she loved you but what you are doing is wrong. I am not her I am Kagome.”
Aki stared at her for a few moments taking everything in, “You really are not her I am sorry. I will remove the beads and return you to your home.”
Kagome sighed in relief then smiled, “Thank you Aki and I am sorry you lost her but she would not want you to live like this. You must move on and be happy.”
