Sesshomaru thought for a moment on what all he should tell Kagome of the situation that they found themselves in.

Kagome worriedly looked at him, “Sesshomaru what is going on?”

Sesshomaru sighed, “Kagome there is a new threat to you. We have discovered the reason that Naraku was always after you.”

Kagome’s eyes widened, “Why was he after me Sesshomaru?”

Sesshomaru lead her into their chambers deciding that he was going to tell her everything. Kagome sat on the bed and nodded for Sesshomaru to begin after she was comfortable.

Sesshomaru took her hands in his, “Naraku’s devotion was not just to you it was also for what you care in your body. You are the guardian of something called the Shikon No Tama Kagome. It is the reason you were born so powerful Kagome. We do not know how he found out this information. We sent a messenger to your mother asking her why so many where after you. This is what she told us but she also said that she was the only one who knew of this as far as she knew.”

Kagome took a deep breath as she absorbed all of this information. “So you are telling me that I am the protector of the Shikon No Tama of legend the one that was born of the great priestess Midoriko.”

Sesshomaru nodded his head and watched Kagome closely for her reaction.

Kagome’s eyes widened once more when she realized something, “Sesshomaru Lady Midoriko had an intended mate from what the legend says.”

Sesshomaru considered this for a moment, “A mate or intended mate shows his female the upmost devotion.”

Kagome nodded her head in agreement, “So this new threat that you are speaking of may not be a threat at all. It could be her intended mate thinking that she has come back.”
