A week had gone by and Kagome had still yet to wake up. Inuyasha took Kikyo to sit with her every morning and retrieved her every evening. Kikyo had been moving Kagome’s body around while she was there during the day. She did not want Kagome to be stiff when she finally woke up but she was becoming afraid that she would never wake up. A soft knock on the door drew her attention and she called out a soft come in.

Inuyasha walked into the room and looked from Kikyo to Kagome, “Is there any change Kikyo.”

Kikyo gave him a sad smile, “No she has not shown any signs of waking.”

Inuyasha sighed, “Are you ready to return to our rooms?”

Kikyo nodded her head as she pulled the blanket back over Kagome but froze when she saw Kagome’s finger twitch.

Her head snapped up to Inuyasha, “Her finger just twitched!”

Inuyasha’s eyes widened, “Stay here I will go get father and Sesshomaru.”

Inuyasha turned and raced down the hallway. Kikyo pulled the blankets back once more and took Kagome’s hand in hers.

Kikyo looked back to her face and called desperately, “Kagome can you hear me? Please wake up.”

Kagome was fighting in her mind to wake everything felt like rubber and her body would not do as she wanted. She could hear Kikyo calling to her and wished to return to her. She was determined to wake up this time. She could not really remember what happened or why she was asleep but the desperate tone of her sisters’ voice frightened her and she wanted nothing more than to open her eyes.
