Replacement

Kagome was jarred awake by a loud wail recognizing in as Rin she jumped up. She burst into the room that Rin and Shippo where sharing. Rin was throwing things all over the room and sobbing. Shippo was sniffing all over the room searching for something.

Kagome stepped closer to the two, “Rin, Shippo what is the matter?”

Finally noticing her Rin ran over throwing her arms around her and continued to sob.

Shippo hopped onto her shoulder, “It’s the beaded bracelet that Rin was wearing when you found us. We cannot find it anywhere in the room.”

Kagome tapped her chin, “Oh its okay Rin if you really want a beaded bracelet we can get you a replacement.”

This only served to rip a louder wail from Rin then before. She looked at Shippo with a helpless look.

Shippo sighed, “That particular bracelet cannot be replaced Mama. It is the last thing that her mother gave her.”

Kagome’s eyes widened and with a nod of her head she gathered Rin to her. She stood and made her way to Touga’s study she did not even knock she just walked right in.

Touga looked up from his work, “Oh Kagome what is wrong with Rin?”

Kagome explained everything to him. He had taken Rin from her and was cuddling her. Finally getting her calmed down enough he was able to get her to speak.

He ran his fingers through her hair, “Now tell me little Rin where is the last place that you saw your bracelet?”

Rin looked up at him then to Shippo and Kagome.

Kagome sighed figuring out the problem, “She still will not speak she will have to show us where she last had it.”

Touga nodded and stood sitting Rin on her feet. They all followed her out of the study to look for her lost bracelet.
