Chapter 1: Alone

She was alone; the scars marring her skin would forever be the constant reminder of her solitude.

All of her friends had fallen in the final battle. As everyone she loved fell prey to the evil hanyou, she watched hopelessly. One by one she watched, unable to help, fighting for her own life.

After death claimed her sweet, innocent Shippou, something within her snapped. With a surge of power, she purified Naraku and all his minions. She had ended the battle. The only payment she received for her suffering was a pile of dust slowly disappearing in the gentle wind.

A/N: This is a new story that I am starting. There will only be 100 words in each chapter, so don't ask for longer chapters! ;)
