The four legged beast jogged at a normal pace down the busy city streets. Though it was not his ideal form, Sesshoumaru took it all in stride. He was here for one reason and one reason only. To watch over the girl-child that would one day rule at his side.

If she had known what lengths he was going to, to see her safe, she would surely scold him. But as it was he had no intention of ever revealing just who he was. Seeing the familiar shrine steps he ran faster.

And where are you now my little Kagome?
