Kagome couldn't help but be proud of herself. She put up the lights all by herself and they looked wonderful to her, she couldn't wait to show her mate.

When Sesshomaru pulled up to his house he was struck speechless, eyes wide and an eyebrow raised high.

Getting out of his car he headed inside to find his little miko to get an explanation. Finding her in the kitchen with flour on her face and in her hair, he smiled gently.

Seeing her mate Kagome smiled and raised up a plate of decorative cookies
“Surprise! I made some holiday cookies!”
