Disclaimer: Though it saddens me to say it, I don’t own anything relating to Takahashi-sensei’s Inuyasha. However, the plot and/or ideas of this drabble series do belong to me.

Chapter 42: Part Deux
The trip to buy a wedding dress and a tuxedo had been a totally different story, however.
Due to a Western superstition that it’s bad luck to see one’s bride-to-be in her gown before the ceremony, Kagome had been whisked away by her closest friends and her mother to shop for one without him.
Sesshoumaru hadn’t minded since his fiancée had been recovering well, but that had left him to go suit browsing with his half-brother and their overzealous father. Kouga had also wanted to tag along, to his dismay, but he’d been beaten to the punch when Inuyasha had rejected him in his stead. Thankful of his consideration, though he knew Inuyasha hadn’t liked the other man, Sesshoumaru had bought him a few bowls of his favorite ramen as a reward.
And as a result, the younger male had been helpful the entire day, which was a welcome relief on his nerves. They, the Taishou men, had visited store after store to find the right tux, but each time, the sales representatives had been too awed by their presence–and good looks–to be of any aid.
Honestly, since it had been such a hassle to retrieve the proper attire, Sesshoumaru wouldn’t have cared if he or Kagome had showed up to their wedding in a matching set of pajamas. At least, their guests would know that he’d had a wicked sense of humor.
But, it had never been his plan to embarrass Kagome, so he’d gotten rid of that idea.
