Disclaimer: Though it saddens me to say it, I don’t own anything relating to Takahashi-sensei’s Inuyasha. However, the plot and/or ideas of this drabble series do belong to me.
A/N: Sorry for the infrequent updates, everyone. RL has been difficult lately, and my spirits have been rather low. :/ Update 1 of 4.
Chapter 104: Storm
Sesshoumaru immediately stiffened when he picked up the smells of smoke, oil, and metal. There were two men on the other side of the street: One had tattoos of purple slashes on his face and was wearing a bandana, while his companion towered over him, a bionic arm protruding from his shoulder. The latter’s scarlet hair stuck up in all directions, and there was a manic look in his eyes. Judging from their appearances, they belonged to the group of hoodlums that he and Kagome had encountered at the festival.
This was just what Sesshoumaru needed: a pair of psychopaths. A threatening growl rumbled in his chest, and he moved protectively in front of his wife, blocking her from their sight. He stubbornly righted his twisted leg and exhaled before popping his bones back into place. It definitely wasn’t the most enjoyable thing in the world, but it had to be done. He wasn’t going to be handicapped if they decided to fight him.
The smaller male merely smirked and crossed his arms. “Hey, the little twerp was right, Gin. The guy’s a freak.”
His friend’s answering laugh sounded painful as he wheezed and grumbled in his throat. Sesshoumaru didn’t think he could say anything else because a mask obscured the lower part of his face.
“Too bad the bitch was in the way. We could’ve had a good time with that one.”
At his remark, Sesshoumaru saw red.
His upper lip curled into a snarl, and he howled.
