Cry For Me

“This Sesshoumaru is not capable of shedding a tear nor is he capable of crying” he told her angrily before walking away. Kagome who wasn’t convinced, decides to go on a mission to find out.

She was sitting down in Sesshoumaru’s study reading a book from her time about a man who loved his childhood best friend. He did everything for her whilst they grew up and wanting nothing in return. One day however, tragedy struck. The one time he was not there to protect her from harm; she got into an accident and lost all her memories. He wanted to believe that one day she would remember him, so he continued to be there for her till something else happened that tore his world apart. She married another man.

The raven haired woman was in a mess at this stage of her book. Her tears were cascading freely and her eyes were puffy and red.

The man’s heart was breaking and yet he just couldn’t find it in himself to leave her. He still continued to be by her side.

She was annoyed at the girl for being so stupid and wanted to throw the book away and tear it to pieces, but she just couldn’t put the darn thing down. She wanted to know what kind of ending the book would have.

“The room smells strongly of salt, what is it that has made you weep this time?” came a deep baritone voice behind her.

Kagome quickly wiped away her tears and looked over at the man with long silver hair and emotionless golden eyes. He was leaning his weight against the doorway with his arms crossed and looking at her as if he was annoyed.

“I was just reading a book” she sadly smiled towards him.

He gave a small sigh and made is way towards her, stopping only to sit down at her side and snatching the book off her hands.

“Hey give that back!” she said trying to grab it off him but he turned to face the other way so that she couldn’t reach.

He scanned the cover of the book and read its plot. His golden eyes narrowed as he finished and stared at her with a glare. It was another one of those horrid romance novels that he often found her reading when she wanted ‘Kagome Time’.

“This is a waste of time and not worth distress you are displaying. It is not good for your condition” He said, golden eyes softening ever so slightly as they landedon her bulging belly.

Kagome glared in return.

“Apparently everything I do is not good for my condition. Plus I like to have a cry every now and then. I find it…… refreshing”.

“Hn”

“Why don’t you read it? I’m pretty sure you will love it”.

“Not likely” he retorted standing up and helping her to her feet gently, being extra careful so she wouldn’t trip over.

“Why do you hate these kinds of things?” she asked, sapphire eyes looking at him with such curiosity. Oh how he loved that look.

He shrugged elegantly and began to walk away.

“Hey Sesshoumaru?”

He came to a sudden halt as his mate called his name.

“Yes Kagome?”

“What makes you cry?”
