The words that he had spoken to her were so mellisonant and not at all in his normal character, yet Kagome reflected upon this and a small smile crossed onto her face as she thought of him.  Kagome was tiring fast as he watch progressed; she couldn’t wait to court the sweet cousin of death, to be able to get some sleep. 

There was a sudden tap on her shoulder and as she raised her eyes up, that of her best friend and sister, Sango, met hers. 

“Get some sleep Kagome, you look exhausted and its nearly my turn.”
