Chapter 1

Rule One: Burn the Game plan get a new one.

Word: 300

No Teen Vogue, she mumbled, still going red over today’s ordeal.

She had honestly tried…really. Today she had decided to take the stupid magazine’s word about guys liking girls who wear perfume…and it backfired.

Maintaining a sigh as she picked up her bag heading towards the well. The day had gone by and she had made a complete mess of it, now she was headed home to study for her Algebra II test, and home to burn her magazines.

She could still remember Inuyasha’s disgusted face as soon as she had put on the perfume, and the few seconds afterwards when he was knocked out on the floor…it was embarrassing to say the least. Sitting on the wells edge she looked up at the sky, hoping something would put her out of her misery. She really hadn’t mean to put on too much, just enough to get him to think she smelled good…

Stupid sensitive dog nose

Kicking the well here and there, while kicking her self mentally she thought about her love life…if you could even call her joke of a one sided-sometimes love life, a love live…

 What was she to do?

She had been told that a girl was never meant to make the first move. It was improper, radical, and plain weird…so she, and many other girls in her place decided to take refugee and seek guidance in the devil, magazines. It wouldn’t judge them for trying to break the norm, in a more descript form. But seriously whom were they kidding?

Paper, words, and strangers wouldn’t be able to direct her, or anyone’s; it was to naïve to think other wise. If she was ever going to get Inuyasha…she would have to cut the dread on Teen Vogue, and get a 21st century game plan.

Authors Note: This popped into my head, as many things do, and I being ruled by impulse decided to write it. I have been reading Robert’s Rules of Writing, 101 Unconventional Lessons every writer needs to know by Robert Masello, (I recommend you read it, its pretty good,) while reading it I thought about my favorite paring, and thought to write a story about them, based on his rules, well the titles of his rules. Yeah I know it doesn’t make sense…but whatever, I hope you enjoy!

P.S. I love magazines, and mainly read them for the quizzes and horoscopes, so me no hate the magazines ^o^;
