At Last

The years without her were torture for Sesshomaru.

 The pain in his chest got worser. The years felt like days and mere seconds felt like a millenium. Every second of the day he was haunted by her smile,her joyous laughter that he loved so much and the foreign words she often used.

He never understood his father's love for Izayoi, he never thought that he could love a human. Everyday he could still smell her scent of vanilla and jasmine. It was intoxicating and he loved it so much. There was only one reason he continued to live and it was so that he could talk to her parents. Thats what she always wanted, for him to meet her parents.

Once he finally made it to her time he watched her. He saw her birth, her first steps and her first words. It pained him so much to be able to see her but not hold her but still he couldn't bring himself to turn away.

 One thing that Kagome accomplished was to get the humans and demons to live together in peace and even now they lived together although there were still few demons but he would forever be grateful to his mate. The last time she jumped in the well he waited five more years before meeting her family. Sesshomaru always wondered why Kagome always was so kind hearted but meeting her mother he finally got his answer. They were so grateful that he told them. From that day on he continued to visit them in hopes that he could feel warmth again but to no avail.

The empty void in his heart was something that only Kagome could fill. Sesshomaru felt no other reason to continue living if he would forever be burdened by the pain and loss of his mates presence. Inuyasha had died many years ago. Sesshomaru stayed beside him in his last breaths.

Everyone from the feudal era had died except him. Even little Rin left a couple years after Kagome. Laying down in his bed Sesshomaru thought about everyone that had died and and left him.

One tear fell followed by another and another until he fell asleep burdened by the pain in his chest that sucked away all life from him. He slept all night and all morning.

He never woke up.

He felt his soul being tugged but not painfully before there was a blinding light forcing him to close his eyes. Once his eyes opened he saw Inuyasha, Sango, Kikyou, Miroku, Kilala, Jaken, Ah-un, Rin in her youth, and the all grown up shippou who died in a fierce battle but still won taking his enemy's with him.

Then suddenly they all flew to the side and a little body crashed into him, the first thing he smelt was vanilla and Jasmine and salt. Looking down he saw Kagome in all her youthful glory with tears streaming down her face. Using the tip of his thumb he wiped away all her tears and held her tighter. They kissed and poured every ounce of emotion in it.

"I missed you Sesshomaru" she wispered for only him to hear.

"I missed you too Koi" Sesshomaru said before bringing her into another passion filled kiss and for the first time in over four hundred years he had a reason to smile. The void was filled.

Well there it is for all of you who wanted a sequel. Although it didn't come out how I planned it's good enough. I'm sorry that all of my chapters in my stories are so short but I'm new at this and when I wrote it it didn't seem so short until I finally posted it. I'll work on it though.
