Kagome’s appearance and Inuyasha’s transformation

D/C- I do not own Inuyasha...... even though I wish I did. (Sighs) oh well here is the next chapter.....Enjoy!

*God Tree - Go-Shimboku

Sango and Miroku were sitting next to the fire pit waiting for Inuyasha and Kagome to come back when Shippou came running up to them out of breath.

“Have....you seen....Mi...ka?” Shippou asked as he tried to catch his breath.

“No we have not.” Sango looked over at Miroku who was staring into the forest. “Miroku?”

Miroku shook his head and looked from Sango to Shippou. “Yes did I miss something?” Shippou glared at the monk while Sango tried to keep her temper under control.

“Yeah! Mika is missing!” Sango yelled into his ear. Miroku cringed at the high pitch of Sango’s scream.

“Where were you last, Shippou?” Miroku asked the kit. Shippou thought for a moment the his eyes grew wide.

“She was chasing me then she stopped when I turned around she was gone. We were Inuyasha’s forest.” Shippou looked at Sango to Miroku. “Do you know where she is?”

“I believe I do.” Miroku stood and brushed off his kimono. “She went to Inuyasha and Kagome.” Miroku pointed towards the Go-Shimboku. They both looked towards the Go-Shimboku and noticed a bright white light. Shippou recovered first and took off in the direction.

“Kirara!” Sango called her youkai companion. Kirara transformed and looked over at her master and Miroku. Sango jumped on and took Miroku's hand as Kirara took to the air.

As Shippou ran to the Go-Shimboku he became worried when he remembered that he was the first one that Inuyasha told that Kikyo was dead and gave him a crystal to give to Kagome when she came back. Shippou sniffed the air as he ran and breathed a sigh of relief. Mika had went to her mother.

Shippou suddenly stopped when he came to the Go-Shimboku. There in the clearing was Inuyasha looking up at a glowing ball of light. Mika was holding Inuyasha’s hand. Shippou slowly made his way over to Mika.

“You nearly gave me a heart attack.” Shippou whispered in his sisters ear. Mika stiffened as she looked over her shoulder.

“Sorry, Shippou, momma needed me.” Mika pointed to the ball of light. Shippou watched as the light faded and Kagome was now lying on the ground beneath the Go-Shimboku. Inuyasha was the first to move to her. He stopped and stared in awe.

Shippou looked down at Mika who was grinning. Shaking his head he moved up by Inuyasha. He also stopped as he stared at the new Kagome. She still had blueish-black but it now had dark pink streaks. The only markings were on her face. They were a dark pink six pointed star with a small light blue crescent moon – in the center - on her forehead and a dark pink stripe over each of her eyes. (Like Sesshoumaru’s). Her hands were still human but her nails were a little longer and sharper, almost like claws.

Kagome also had knew clothing. She no longer wore her red t shirt and brown leather pants but a warrior mikos kimono that was light blue with pink lotus blossoms on it. Her boots were the only thing that stayed the same. They were black leather and had a two inch heal. Both of her Sais were still there but lying next to her along with a sword.

“Momma’s pretty.” Mika whispered in awe as she walked closer to her mother. She stopped and sniffed the air. Mika wrinkled her nose. Shippou walked up to her and froze. He turned to Inuyasha.

“Kikyo was here.” Inuyasha stared down at Kagome then looked back at Shippou.

“How? She’s....” Then he caught the scent of cherry blossoms mixed with grave yard soil. The same scent that she had before she died, again. Just then Mika was pulling on his arm. He looked down and saw that she was pointing in front of them. Inuyasha followed his gaze and saw Kikyo and Midoriko standing before them.

“Hello Inuyasha.” Kikyo felt her heart break as she looked upon the face of the hanyou she loved when she was alive. “I am truly sorry that I betrayed your love for me.”

“No Kik...”

“No Inuyasha it was I who betrayed you. I should have known that you would not try to kill me yet I was fooled.” Kikyo walked up to Inuyasha and kissed him on his forehead. “However I shall grant your one wish.” With that she took her index finger and drew a crescent moon on his forehead. When she was done she stepped back and chanted and ancient spell.

Inuyasha was surrounded in a light blue light. He could feel his blood boiling when he was going to transform but this time he felt different. His mind was not on killing like it had been but he felt more protective of the ones he called friends. He looked up at Kikyo.

“What did you do?” Then Inuyasha looked down. He had only one stripe on each wrist. Inuyasha looked over to see that Sango and Miroku were standing there staring at him as though he had two heads.

“Oi don’t stare at me?” Inuyasha yelled at the two. Miroku was the first to step forward.

“We are sorry but it seems that you are now....” Miroku swallowed. “Full youkai.” He ended in a low whisper.

Inuyasha stiffened and turned back to Kikyo who was now standing next to Midoriko. He frowned when he noticed that the oldest miko looked like his Kagome. Then he noticed that Midoriko was looking at Mika. He quickly placed himself between Midoriko and Mika. Inuyasha growled his warning at the miko.

“Do not worry yourself, Inuyasha.” Midoriko smiled at the hanyou turned youkai. “I would not hurt my granddaughter.” Midoriko disappeared from in front of them and reappeared by Mika's side.

“Grandma!” Mika exclaimed as she jumped in Midoriko’s arms. Everyone else stared at the legendary miko.

Midoriko looked around and grinned. “Yes I am Kagome’s real mother. She was taken after her birth by a kami. He told me that I would die and only my child would be able to rid of the jewel that I would create. Thus here we are.” Midoriko swept her arm around to show him his friends and his adopted kit and pup.

“Are you saying Midoriko-sama that all this was destined to happen?” Miroku walked up to Midoriko.

“Of course.” Midoriko looked at Inuyasha. “However some things are not written.” She glanced down at Mika and smiled.

“Midoriko-sama, it is time.” Kikyo called to her incarnation. Midoriko sighed as she handed Mika over to Inuyasha and stepped back by Kikyo.

“I am sorry. We are being called back.” Both mikos bowed as they vanished from in front of everyone standing there staring at the spot where Kikyo and Midoriko were standing.

Sango and Miroku walked up to Inuyasha who was now kneeling by Kagome. Shippou had Mika by the hand and was standing on the other side. Inuyasha picked Kagome up and turned back to Sango and Miroku.

“Lets head back to Kaeda’s.” Inuyasha looked around at the others who nodded. He glanced over at Shippou. “Will you take Mika?”

Shippou nodded. “No problem. Come on Mika.” He bent down that way she could get on his back. As soon as she was up he took off to the village. Inuyasha smiled as he turned to see Sango and Miroku already on Kirara. Knowing that they would meet up he took off.
