Going Home

Kagome got woke up by someone jumping on her bed. She moaned and pulled the covers over her head trying to block out who ever it was. Kagome almost fell back asleep when she was no longer covered. She opened her eyes and looked into light blue eyes with a yellow ring around the center.

“Momma, hurry.” Mika started to jump on the bed again. “I wanna go see Inu.”

Kagome laughed at her daughter. She had wanted to go back for over two weeks and had been bugging Kagome to hurry up with her training that way they could see where her dad was from. Looking at her daughter she shook her head.

“Ok ok. I’m up.” Kagome got up and quickly got dressed. Mika already had her small back pack on and was waiting by the bedroom door. Kagome picked up her old yellow one and pulled it over her shoulders. Kagome grabbed her Sais and slipped then into her boots. Her bow and quiver were already on her back. She took Mika’s hand and went down stairs.

Kagome dropped both backpacks by the front door along with her bow and arrows while Mika ran into the kitchen. Kagome followed her daughter to see that her mother was already up and cooking breakfast. Smiling Kagome sat down next to Mika.

“Morning mom.” Kagome watched her mother bring the food to the table.

“Morning dear.” Kagome’s mother looked from her daughter to her granddaughter. “So you are going back.” She looked at her daughter with a heavy heart. She had always feared that something like this would happen.

Kagome nodded. “I have to. I shattered the jewel and its my responsibly to put it back together and kill Naraku.” Kagome smiled as she patted her daughters head.

“But...”

“Mom, we have been through this. Mika is coming with me. There is no one here in this time that understands her powers.” Kagome hated to talk back to her mother but she would not let her daughter stay here with out her. Also no one knew how to console her on her human night.

Kagome’s mother sighed and nodded her head. “Fine but I worry for both of you.” She looked up and smiled weakly at her daughter.

“I have to. Anyway Inuyasha will be there.” Kagome got up and walked around to give her mother a hug. Turning to Mika she smiled. “Ready?” Mika grinned and jumped out of her seat.

“Ya. Are we going now?” Mika asked looking up at her mother. Kagome nodded.

“Lets go see Inu.” Kagome gave her mother one last kiss then walked to the front door and grabbed the bags. Mika was right beside her grabbing at her hand. Kagome took Mika’s hand and headed to the well shrine. Kagome prayed that everything would be fine when they got back.

>Feudal Era<

The Inu group were sitting in the clearing where the bone eaters well was located. They had arrived right after the sun was up. None of them wanted to miss the chance to see Kagome and her pup. Inuyasha had told them about Mika and everyone was nervous to meet the new addition.

Inuyasha jumped to his feet when he felt the magic of the well activate. Shippou stood beside Inuyasha with his eyes trained on the well. He hoped that his adopted mother would recognize him. He was now the same height at Inuyasha. His red hair was in a low ponytail. Also his tail was a little longer.

Kirara jumped down from Sangos’ shoulders and trotted up beside Inuyasha. Sango and Miroku were standing behind Shippou and Inuyasha. They were all happy to see their friend, sister, and mother.

>Kagome & Mika<

Kagome knew as soon as she landed in the bottom of the well that all her friends were just outside. She expanded her aura and searched for one she did not want to see. Smiling when she found nothing she looked down at her daughter.

“Mika, are you ready?” Mika looked up at her mother and nodded. “Alright, on the count of three we’ll jump.”

“Kay!” Mika sung as she jumped up and down. Kagome chuckled at her daughter antics. Kagome took Mika’s hand and looked up into the blue sky.

“1, 2, 3!” Kagome bent her legs slightly and pushed up along with Mika. Mika was the first to land outside the well. Kagome landed and looked in front of them and stared at her friends.

Mika reached up and tugged on Kagome’s sleeveless leather jacket. Kagome looked down at Mika.

“Is that them?” Mika pointed at the group in front of them. Kagome smiled as she picked Mika up and headed to her friends.

“Yeah that’s our family.” Kagome stopped in front of Inuyasha. Mika’s eyes widen as she took in Inuyasha's scent and looks. The last time she had seen him she was still a baby.

Launching herself at Inuyasha she wrapped her arms around his neck crying. “Inu-pa!” Kagome looked at Inuyasha who had his eyes trained on Kagome. His arms were wrapped around Mika who was still hugging him with all her might.

“Sorry, Inuyasha.” Kagome blushed at what her daughter called Inuyasha. “She believes that you are her...” Kagome trailed off as she saw Inuyasha shake his head.

“We need to talk later but now lets get back to Kaeda’s.” Inuyasha shifted Mika in his arms and took the bag from Kagome’s shoulder. Shippou walked up to her and tapped her on the shoulder. Kagome turned to him and frowned.

“Do I know you?” Kagome felt her heart beat slightly faster as she took in his hair and eyes. She gasped as she wrapped her arms around his neck.

“Shippou!” Kagome felt tears pricking the back of her eyes. She pulled back and looked him over. “You have grown so much.”

Shippou smiled as he wiped the tears off her face. “Feh, I just hit a growth spurt.” Coping Inuyasha’s language. Kagome scowled at him then turned her attention to the blushing hanyou holding her daughter.

“Well since I’m back I guess I have to teach you how to speak right again.” Kagome had an evil glint in her eyes as she kept her eyes on Inuyasha. He started to back away and gulped. Mika was laughing at him while she played with his hair.

Shippou put his hand on Kagome’s shoulder. “No you don’t. I was just messing with you mom.” Shippou kissed her on the cheek as he took her hand and lead her to Sango and Miroku. Inuyasha walked behind them still holding Mika in his arms.

Kagome ran up to Sango and gave her a hug. “I missed you guys so much.” Kagome cried as Sango hugged her back. “but I’m glad to be back home.” Kagome pulled back to look at a surprised face of Sango and Miroku.

“Did you just call the Feudal Era home, Lady Kagome?” Miroku asked as he put his arm around Sango's shoulder. Kagome smiled as she pulled back from Sango and turned to gather Mika in her arms.

“Yes.” Kagome looked over at Inuyasha then glanced around at her friends. “I – we - have decided to stay here in the Feudal Era.” With that she looked down at her daughter and smiled.

“Now?” Mika asked as she pointed to the well. Kagome put her daughter down as she nodded. Mika jumped up and down then ran over and held her hands out in front of her.

Mika closed her eyes as she let her powers come forth. Everyone watched in awe as Kagome's daughter made the well collapse in on itself. Mika opened her eyes and turned to her mother.

“Done!” She smiled as she fainted. Kagome was the first there to catch her daughter. Inuyasha picked both Kagome and Mika up and headed to Kaeda’s hut.

“Sango Miroku gather Kagome’s things would you.” He called over his shoulder as he ran towards the village. Inuyasha could feel Shippou behind him. Glancing over his shoulder he could see that Shippou had Kagome’s weapons on Mika’s bag. Inuyasha smiled as he ran towards the hut. He would now have a family he always wanted.

As long as his damn brother would stay away.......
