Riku Ryuu's Prompt - Dance

Prompt: Riku Ryuu’s Random Prompts on Dokuga.com Forums - Dance

~ooO Dance Ooo~

Sesshoumaru was displeased. The line-up of well wishers was not ending. When would he get the chance to have his new bride to himself? The band began to play a slow number and he perked up. They would have a smidgen more privacy on the dance floor. So he swept Kagome off to the dance floor which began filling up with other guests.

The daiyoukai did not pay much attention to the other dancers. He was more interested in his bride. He finally had her to himself, swaying in his arms, his hands on her hips, fingers stroking bare skin, marking her as his and only his in the eyes of the ningen populace. There would be no more suitors chasing her, imagining they could take her from him, no more immature pups imagining they could win her affections. Kagome was too loyal, too devoted, to be swayed by words or vows. Not for the first time the daiyoukai felt sorry for his half-brother, for throwing away a priceless treasure, for chasing after a hollow illusion. But his loss was Sesshoumaru’s gain.

The daiyoukai purred and leaned forward to scent his mate’s hair. It was fresh and clean and free from chemicals and cloying fragrances, like the rest of her. She hummed happily, wrapped her arms around his neck, and swayed against him. He would be happy dancing forever if it meant she would remain forever in his arms.
