Clash of Alphas by sarhea

Leash

~ooO Leash Ooo~

Kagome did not know but in the daiyoukai’s mind she was one of the few strong enough to challenge his authority and make it stick. InuYasha may have defied him but if it really mattered Sesshoumaru knew he could force the hanyou to submit. Tessaiga was the only reason why InuYasha had ever lasted in battle against Sesshoumaru. But if Sesshoumaru cared he could easily separate the hanyou from the sword and kill him. Only respect for their honourable sire stilled his claws.

But with Kagome… the daiyoukai was not so certain that he could defeat her; because with her it would not be a clash of blades but a battle of wills. She was strong, stubborn, and absolute when she gave her loyalty. If she ever chose to move against him she would be a formidable opponent. Sesshoumaru knew that on an intellectual level and his beast knew it in the most primal of ways.

Sesshoumaru was the ultimate Alpha, from the bottom of his clawed toes to the top of his silky haired head. He knew it and everyone around him knew he was dominant, the strongest and most capable, and they submitted accordingly. Ever since his honourable sire had died and the daiyoukai reached maturity few could restrain or even redirect his rage or attentions. Only his dam and she was not interested in using her influence to restrain his tendencies to kill obstacles. It was truly unfortunate the miko had reached a level in his circle that made it dishonourable to kill her. It would solve so many problems.

But then again killing was rather tedious and unsatisfactory. Making the miko submit would be more of a challenge. The miko had to be made to submit, to see and accept that she was below them in strength and authority and that he was Her Alpha… that she was willing to accept his control, to be leashed.
