Growl

Edited March 30, 2012

~ooO Growl Ooo~

Kagome began ladling out ramen from the second pot for the rest of the taichi and handing them out. There was a little left over, enough for maybe all of them to have a half-bowl of seconds. She filled her own bowl and was about to settle down to eat it when a flash of red near the pot caught her attention.

Reflexively she lashed out with the ladle and smacked InuYasha across the back of the hand.

She growled and snarled at her too-greedy friend. “No! You’ve already had a whole pot for yourself.”

Sesshoumaru watched bemused as the miko growled and began hitting the hanyou with the bowl-shaped end, forcing him to duck and dodge to avoid her weapon. It was quite a credible growl, nearly on-par with one from a canine-youkai.

He watched the hanyou finally retreat out of range of her spoon and away from the pot of ‘ramen’. He wondered why the hanyou bothered with the flimsy pretence. No one believed he was the Alpha in his pack. Sure everyone humoured him, but it was only to soothe his pride because it was very clear it was the miko who was Alpha.

She was the one who made the decisions. Which direction the pack would travel, when they would take a break or set up camp, she procured food to feed her pack mates, and she determined who ate what and how much.

He smirked at his foolish half-brother.

“This Sesshoumaru don’t comprehend why you bother InuYasha when it is clear you can’t even control your own bitch.”

The temperature dropped to just below zero.

The miko growled; a low, dangerous and threatening sound.

“What did you just call me?”
