While he sleeps

He sleeps blissfully aware of her thoughts as she is watching him on her bed. A part of her whispers that he’s beautiful with the peaceful expression he has. The other is frightened by her feelings for the man, for he’s more than she has imagined she deserves in life. He is everything she is not and less than she is at the same time. Can she accept that in any way?

A part of her wants to get rid of the sudden feelings she has for that human being who has barged into her life, wiping away her befiefs and ruining her barriers like a hurricane. For once, her heart seems to take the lead and her mind is telling her to run, to hide again as she has always done but something tells her that if she wastes this chance, she might not get it back. torna part, she stares at the bare wal of her room—she never had the courage to make it a home, to something prescious because of fear of leaving.

There were times when she thought that noone would even remember her is she is to pass this life and so, she doesn’t make it a point to make them remember. What is the point? she isn’t immortal. But maybe, just maybe, one person would be there for her int he future if she is to get rid of her pride and ask him to stay for once.

She gulps and her gaze again wanders to the figure among her sheets. She takes in the silvery hair and sharp jawline, knowing that if he was to look up, she’d meet with bottomless amber orbs, telling her of things she has only dreamt of. He has been honest to her all the way and now she feels it’s her turn or she will lose him. He can’t wait forever. She can’t do that to him.

Taking a deep breath, she is leaving her seat from her old and worn armchair and makes her decision. She crawles beside him, enough for him to feel her warmth against his body and half-conscious, he waps an arm around her, not really understanding the way her mind works.

She would make him see in the morning, she tells herself, accepting the unknown comfort he provides…
