Chapter 93: Conundrum

Moriko hummed. “So she is pack,” she murmured, hitting the nail on the head, despite Sesshoumaru’s earlier announcement. “I would not have expected you to pick up another human, but she is strong.”

“Hn.”

“If Tenseiga healed her wounds, what ails her now?”

Sesshoumaru peered down at Kagome’s face, taking in the sweat that dotted her brow and her flushed cheeks. He didn’t like how her body began to shiver uncontrollably.

“This one does not know,” he admitted quietly.

A maid appeared soon after, and led them to the room chosen to be the miko’s.
