They were stranded on a boat in the middle of an ocean so deep that the bottom was nowhere in sight. High overhead, the sun beamed down causing the sea to sparkle… and Kagome’s skin to burn.
“Are you crazy?” she cried, “I’m not going in there!”
“You’re being ridiculous—and you’re turning red. Get off the raft.”
“No!” She scooted away from him.
“If you won’t behave like a mature adult then I see no other course of action.” Sesshomaru replied before gathering her up and jumping into the water with her in his arms.
Kagome yelped and struggled, desperate to get away from the crazed youkai who was trying to drown her. Then his feet hit the bottom of the swimming pool and he walked them to shore. Sullenly, Kagome found herself drying off with a towel that was thankfully whole, unlike her dignity, which was in tatters.
