Seasons Of Change by Katsura Tsuzuki
Chapter One
~
Kagome Higurashi and her boyfriend Inuyasha Tsuki sat in their modest apartment in Greenwich Village. They had just celebrated their five year anniversary and any day now they were expecting a child. They planned to name her Chitose. Kagome smiled and rubbed her belly with love, even though she was extremely happy she knew Inuyasha was cheating on her with her best friend Sango, he would come home late and lie right to her face, and she could smell the other woman on him. Being half neko yokai she had a good sense of smell. She planned on leaving him once Chitose was born; she planned to go live with her sister Kikyo and her husband Sesshomaru.
Turing towards Inuyasha, who wore a scowl on his face, she asked.
“What’s wrong Inuyasha? I can just feel something isn’t right.”
“No, there isn’t anything wrong, I keep telling you that! Are you deaf or just fucking stupid?”
Inuyasha replied hatefully towards Kagome.
Kagome’s light blue eyes narrowed into slits and she let loose a growl right at Inuyasha, then stormed out of the room. Kagome stood at the kitchen sink sobbing. ‘How did things get this bad?’ She thought as she ran a hand through her hair. Then there was only blackness.
Inuyasha slowly and stealthily crept up behind Kagome and in one fluid motion snapped her neck, he watched emotionlessly as Kagome’s body fell to the floor like a rag doll with a sickening thud, not caring he just murdered the woman he loved for years and their unborn child. Inuyasha wrapped her body in a blanket and carried her out to his trunk. He reached into his pocket and grabbed his phone and dialed a number.
“Hello?”
“It’s done Sango.” Inuyasha replied calmly.
“Good, come over when you dispose of the bitch.” Sango coldly replied.
“I will my love.” Inuyasha said with a small smile.
Inuyasha hung up the phone and placed it back into his pocket then climbed into his car and made his way into a heavily wooded area in upstate New York.

“What do we have here nurse Tsubaki?”Questioned Dr. Sesshomaru Tsuki as he flipped open the chart he was just handed.
“26 year old female, it looks like someone tried to snap her neck, she was unconscious but we were able to save but sadly not the child.” Nurse Tsubaki replied while shaking her head slightly.
Sesshomaru went pale when he saw the name on the chart, his brother’s girlfriend of 5 years.
“Oh kami” He responded.

Kagome’s eyes slowly fluttered open; she slowly took in her surroundings, realizing she was in the hospital she sat upright. She felt a horrible pain in her neck right away; she felt her stomach, immediately knowing something awful had happened. She began to panic, ‘Did I go into labor early’ she thought to herself.
“It’s okay Kags, you’re safe.” Kikyo said, with tears in her eyes as she held onto Kagome’s hand.
Kagome looked at her half sister and had never seen so much pain in her eyes before.
“Kagome” Sesshomaru started as he sat down next to her, he took her free hand into his.
“What happened?!” Kagome practically screamed.
Sesshomaru took a deep breath before responding, “Kagome, someone tried to snap your neck, but it was done improperly and you were left unconscious, some hikers found you. We were able to save you but not the child, I am so sorry.”
Kagome broke out into sobs and Kikyo leaned over and hugged her tightly and they both sobbed together until Kagome fell back asleep.
“How could this have happened?” Kikyo asked Sesshomaru desperately.
“I don’t know, but I feel there is something very wrong here.

Two people lay in bed in a lover’s embrace.
“We can finally be together now.” Sango said softly as she ran her fingers through Inuyasha’s hair.
Her plan had worked perfectly, Kagome had been a dear friend but when Sango decided she wanted Inuyasha she decided she needed to get rid of the only thing in the way. Because what Sango wants, she gets. Sango and Inuyasha started sleeping together when Kagome was 6 months along. Inuyasha knew he wasn’t in love with her anymore, and defiantly knew he didn’t want a child with her.
Sango sat up and Inuyasha put an arm around her.
“What’s wrong?”
“What if the police find out you killed her?”
Inuyasha chuckled “That won’t happen babe.”
Sango smiled “I love you.”
“I love you too.” Inuyasha replied lovingly.

Kagome jolted upright from a fitful sleep, drenched in sweat. She cradled her head in her hands, ‘How could this have happened?!’ She then realized the awful truth, that Inuyasha had done this to her and their child. She broke out into fresh tears and begged for death.
