That's a Damn Shame

                Kagome was quite excited to see Lord Sesshomaru’s home for the first time. She wondered what was in his home.  How big was his castle? Were there all demons working for him? How many rooms were there? Coming into the clearing, she watched him stop and turn to her.

                “We are here.”

                Kagome was deeply confused. “Here?”

                All that was there was grass, grass, grass and… wait was that a… never mind. No, still grass.

                “My home.” Was his reply.

                Kagome still didn’t get it. “Your… home… is here?”

                She walked over to a nearby boulder. Was his home somehow through here? Maybe it was a secret passage to his castle. She poked it. “Is it through here?”

                 “That is nothing but a large rock, onna.” He pulled her close him and pointed. “All of this is my home.”

                It suddenly dawned on her.

                “You have no home, do you?”

                He was quiet.

                Kagome’s eyes widened. “YOU’RE HOMELESS!”

                “…”

                Kagome continued, “You are literally the Lord of the Western LANDS.”

                A light pink tinged his cheeks and Kagome shook her head. “That’s a damn shame.”
