“Sesshomaru!” A smile crossed Kagome’s face as soon as she saw Sesshomaru walk in through the door from work. A hint of one showed on his face. Things have been going well since they started dating. In fact tomorrow was their one month anniversary. He had a few special plans made.

“Good evening Kagome.” 

A patter of feet was heard coming from the hallway as Rin rounded the corner. “Sesshomaru-outo-sama!” She exclaimed as she attached herself to his leg. “Sesshomaru-outo-sama, Kagome and I were playing tag inside today because it was too rainy to play it outside.”

“You where?”

“Yep. I was it last. Does that mean Sesshomaru-outo-sama is it now?”

“Actually Rin it does, run,” Kagome said. As both girls took off, Sesshomaru shook his head, before giving in and chasing after both girls.

They played for a good hour before Rin accidentally knocked into a table. Falling to the ground Rin shook her head and watch as the table rocked back and forth, before finally spilling a lamp on the ground next to her, shattering it.

Kagome rushed to Rin and picked her up off the floor. “Rin are you okay,” Kagome asked concerned as she saw tears forming in Rin’s eyes.

“Rin is fine, but she’s going to be in trouble, she broke a lamp.”

“Oh Rin, you’re not in trouble, right Sesshomaru?”

“Rin, you’re not in trouble. How about we go and buy a new one and go out for dinner tonight?”

“Really,” Rin sniffled. Sesshomaru took her from Kagome’s arms and hugged her.

“Really. What would you like for dinner Rin?”

“Can we get spaghetti?”

At Sesshomaru’s nod, Rin squelled, and once put down she ran for the car with Kagome and Sesshomaru following much slower. During that walk Sesshomaru reflected on how much having these two in his life made him feel so much more human. And it was something he was excepting.
