As Kagome quickly packed the last box into her car, she looked at the house one more time. She would miss it, sharing meals and everyday life with Sesshomaru and Rin. Closing her trunk, she turned around and pulled her jacket in closer to her body as she entered into her car and started it, driving away. She felt the tears pricking in the back of her eyes. She wanted nothing more than to turn around and go back to him, but he didn’t want her so why stay?

Sesshomaru finally bent down and picked up the ring, as he heard a door being closed. He felt his heart clench at the thought that he could have just lost Kagome. He turned around and fled towards the door, getting there too late as Kagome had already pulled away and was leaving the drive way. The wind blew a cool breeze and a cold rain started falling down, hitting a numb Sesshomaru.

Kagome turned on her windshield wipers as she drew further and further away from the life she thought she knew. She had no clue where she was going to go, just that she needed to get away. With that thought in mind she left Tokyo, headed for a more deserted region of Japan.
