If anyone dared disagree with Sesshoumaru, no one said it aloud. Kagome turned inside her sleeping bag, restless. It was the first night in nearly a week Sesshoumaru hadn’t had her reiki in an uproar. She wondered if he had fallen asleep.

Golden eyes found her once more and she glared back.

When Kagome didn’t say anything, Sesshoumaru observed, “You are worried.”

Kagome looked at the sleeping kit next to her. “Not for myself.”

Sesshoumaru silently acknowledged her fear. “Sleep. You will need it.”

Kagome rolled over, knowing she was safe.
