Shippou hadn’t left his spot on the roof since the night before. It was still dark out, just before dawn, but he knew Kagome would be waking up any minute.
Today he would try to reason with her, he’d decided, and refused to take no for an answer. She was the only family he had left, and he wasn’t willing to let her go, not for anything.
He didn’t want to get himself worked up again. Maybe an early run will clear my head.The wet grass beneath his paws felt like heaven as he sprang forward with a howl.
