Inuyasha and it's characters are R.T's, not mine, but are fun to put in awkward situations.

Golden eyes narrowed slightly as they took in the interior of the club Kagome had brought him to for their weekly date. It was fairly new, and catered to anyone that came, human, demon, and halflings alike. Not too bad for something he'd helped a friend invest in, the name however was his friends choice. The Blue Moon. Part time dance club, part time something else, and tonight was 'something else'
His arm tightened around his mate's waist as he sought out a table close to the wall, yet still enabling them to have a good view of the stage. He wondered if there would be a live band tonight, as there were occasional reports of who came and went.
As they got themselves seated, a waitress came over to take their order, getting a lengthy stare from the stoic demon. The usual water for him, and an Italian soda for Kagome. They chatted over minor things for a few minutes before the lighting began to din, and a spotlight on the stage turned on. The jazz music that had been playing at a soft volume became more faint as the curtain opened to show a white screen.
Kagome gave a squeal as a familiar red haired male walked out, emerald eyes glimmering as they swept over his audience for the night. His hand gripped the mic a little tighter as he spotted the pair from the corner of his eyes, his lips twitching up into a full smile, happy that his 'mother' had kept her word.
Taking a deep breath, he started,"Good evening folks, and welcome to Shippou's comedy hour!" He tensed for a moment as the applause started before relaxing. "You know, I wonder if any of you had noticed the signs outside. Special made. No parking 23 hours, just so you can come in here to listen to someone mock the annoying things in life, like those no parking 24 hours signs."
A small mix of snickers a chuckles went a long way to ridding him of any remaining tension and doubt he had about this. His smile reached his eyes, knowing that the inhabitants tonight would be of an understanding ilk for what he was attempting tonight.
"I love remembering things about my friends, even if they're stories of things I didn't get to witness myself. Like one I was told by my second father, Sesshoumaru, happened waaaay back.
One day Sesshoumaru and Rin had been to a village and were leaving after their shopping. Rin spoke up. 'Rin met a man with a wooden leg named Smith'. Sesshoumaru snorted 'And what did this human name his other leg?' What a guy huh? For a demon that is a claimed human hater, not even he could ignore that one!"
Kagome giggled, her hand covering her mouth even as her mate narrowed his eyes slightly. That was one memory he didn't particularly like, but it wasn't too humiliating, so he would put off... teaching the kit a lesson, for now. She waved a hand for a waiter, who also got a stare from a somewhat displeased Sesshoumaru, to get something to eat. He rushed to get the order, and away from the slight glare he was getting. He returned to deposit a basket of oddly shaped chips in blue and yellow, and sour cream dip oddly striped with salsa. If he didn't know any better.....
"And of course I can't forget some of the good and bad times when I used to travel with the Inu-tachi. Always known to be a strange group, especially that monk. There were a few times he got a sore face and chin, even without getting smacked. He had forgotten and was resting on his right hand again. Sango and Kagome had to help him get unstuck. A little later Inuyasha walked into the camp and looked over to them. 'Hey Miroku... why the long face?' "
Pausing for a moment, he took a drink of water, his eyes glancing around to gauge the reactions so far, joy dancing in his eyes as he watched and heard his parents laughter. "Drink of water can go a long way, and so can the mind. There was one night my mother had planned for a nice get together of friends, old and new.
Kagome was throwing a party and everyone was showing up, one after another. Kouga walked in with a black bag patterned with white bone shapes, gaining him an odd look. When he found Kagome and got an explanation he caught on 'Bring your own bag, means bring your own choice of beverage/drink..'
Poor wolf, always was a little late to catch on, even when she told him to bring a few drinks to share. Bet he felt a little light headed after that.
Speaking of light headed, I recall a little story my mate remembers from her childhood.
One morning Sesshoumaru was woken by Rin, he had been chewing his pillow at night. Rin asked how Sesshoumaru-sama was feeling. Sesshoumaru said 'This Sesshoumaru feels a little down in the mouth' Guess he wasn't feeling quite himself that morning.
Than again, who does?
Back when I had just gotten my second tail, the entire tachi decided to celebrate. Meaning they guys brought along their own favorite kinds of sake. Never cared for the stuff so I kept to a limit. I seemed to be the only one though.
After a night of hard partying, Sesshoumaru, Inuyasha, Miroku, Naraku and Jaken were waking up. Most of them were flinching as Kagura opened the door and walked in humming a merry tune. "Woman, why are we in here?" Sesshoumaru asked/demanded. "Well, you guys had so much fun last night, all of you look green around the gills." "These are not gills, woman. I'm Not A Frog!" Jaken screeched before stalking out. Poor Kappa must've felt insulted, that or under-toad by taller green tinged men."
The audience roared, knowing well the small green demon well, he did have small appearances when documentaries were shown of the old Inu Tachi. He was lightly hitting all the right buttons for the crowd tonight. Giving small stories with a mix of light and mild humor of everyone was bringing these memories to surface once again, even his own mishaps.
"Yes, everyone has their days, even myself. It was tactics training at the Kitsune Academy and like any others I was showing off as well. I was having fun with a top I had carved myself, first attempt and was using 'invisible string' I had gotten from my mother. Well, one of the others had used 'invisible glue' to glue the string to the top, and left more on the string that I tucked in my pants. Lets just say, I wound up a little over the top."
'Over the top' was putting it lightly, as a picture popped up on the screen behind him, showing a small kit tied and glued to the stem of a large top that. "Yes, that was me. Always knew I'd rise to the top someday, never expected it like that though."
He grinned at the resulting chuckles of the clubs inhabitants before glancing to the table his parents were sitting at. "Tonight has been fun, you've all been a great audience. Thank you for coming, and I'd also like to thank my mother, who encouraged me to get on stage tonight. Our wonderful Sessh-ien staff."
At this, the employee's who were milling around the crowd gave a small bow, lengthy faux silver hair falling into some of their faces, before turning to walk to the table where demon and priestess sat.
"The co-owners, for.."
At this point Sesshoumaru was rather annoyed at this apparent mockery of his person, his glare sliding to the female to the right of him who sat down in an empty chair next to him. A soft growl sounding at a male that was standing close and putting a hand on Kagome's chair to lean. There was no scent to these fools who dared imitate him.
"And to Sesshoumaru, for coming down to hang out with old friends. Sesshoumaru, I think we all want to say thanks for contributing to this.. and we also want to say.. " The last was halted as those surrounding him, began pulling off their wigs to reveal the remaining members of his family, Rin beaming at him from her seat beside him. The monk still leaning on his mates chair, his brother, Naraku and the others from the Inu Tachi, surprising him as they each echoed, "April Fools!"
End.
P.s. Reviews are always nice.
