Not Disney

Hi! I am happy to bring my childhood back in this story to torture Sesshomaru!

I do not own anything mentioned in this story but the idea itself; the Tree House Museum and Disney do not belong to me. Neither does Inuyasha, as says the little disclaimer at the bottom of the page.

Enjoy!

As soon as they entered the building Sesshomaru knew something was going to go wrong. The front desk was manned by a teenage girl who wore some kind of green uniform. She blew a bubble and it popped a second later. By some miracle, or a lot of practice, none of the pink sticky substance got into her hair. Sesshomaru sighed, thinking that it might have made his day a little better.

“Come on Sesshomaru, it won’t be that bad.” Kagome gave him a little shove that did nothing more than show her displeasure. Sesshomaru moved forward so that the small group could enter the building. While they all lived together in a house given to the brothers by their father, it was rare for all of them to go out together and Sesshomaru had no idea why it had to be here of all places. Kagome went towards the desk to talk to the teenager and Rin skipped after her. Inuyasha and Shippo stayed back with Sesshomaru and just stared at what they could see of the ‘museum’. Never in his life had Sesshomaru seen a museum such as this one.

“It looks like Disney barfed on a museum.” Inuyasha said with his normal elegant way. Shippo shook his head.

“No, there are no Disney things here… Or Kagome said there weren’t.” He told Inuyasha, obviously happy to be more knowledgeable then the older man. Inuyasha scowled at him.

“Didn’t Disney have that tree house in a movie?”

“You mean Tarzan?”

“Yeah, that one.”

“Tarzan’s house was made out of stuff from a boat, this one isn’t.”

“Whatever.”

“Okay guys, you have to get your hands stamped.” Kagome said, luckily interrupting the two before they could come up with something that would lead to a fight. The men slowly moved to the counter where their hands were stamped with a big red fish. Sesshomaru stared down at the fish. It stared back, mocking him. First chance he got he was washing the thing off.

Rin tugged Kagome into the museum and an excited Shippo followed just behind them. Inuyasha and Sesshomaru moved much slower, but reluctant to see how terrible their fate would be in the children’s domain.

The first exhibit they entered was made of a giant tree house. The two children insisted on going up a circular staircase within the trees trunk and Kagome went with them. The two men stayed at the bottom, silently watching the other families; some where having fun, but most looked very frustrated as they followed young children who ran everywhere. A small girl in a pink dress, probably no more than two in age, toddled over to the two. She looked up at Sesshomaru and put her hands up, hands that looked horribly sticky with some strange substance. After a few garbled squawks and hands waving in the air, the little girl began to whimper. Sesshomaru watched in horror as the girl broke into sobs.

A woman came running forward and picked up the girl. She glared at Sesshomaru before stomping towards a different exhibit. Inuyasha started to laugh as if it was the funniest thing in the world. Sesshomaru just looked at him with a small scowl.

“You don’t even need to do anything and children with start crying.” He said finally, after the laughter had slowed. Sesshomaru did not reply.

They went to another part of the building, where a small village sat and Sesshomaru wished that he could be some kind of demon who would destroy places just like this. Rin brought him out of his daydreams of fire and mayhem by grabbing his hand and tugging.

“Come on Sesshomaru-sama, let’s play school!”

The little girl dragged him to a very short school house where he was forced to duck in order to enter.  Rin refused to let go of his hand until he was next to the little seats. She left him there and ran to the front of the classroom.

“Okay class, please sit down.” She said, trying to make her voice go lower. Sesshomaru just blinked at her. “Please?” Sesshomaru sighed and sat down in the entirely too small desk.

“Today we will be learning addition.” Rin went to a large chalk board at the front and picked up a small piece of blue chalk. Before he had time to cover his ears, Sesshomaru was assaulted by the sound of scrapping chalk. A shiver of disgust went down his spine but he refused to show how much the noise annoyed him.

Rin continued to write on the board and after she was finished writing two plus two she put the chalk down and turned to the ‘class’ with a smile.

“Does anyone know the answer?” Sesshomaru was about to voice the answer but someone else beat him to it.

“Four!” A little boy yelled from next to him. Sesshomaru looked over, surprised that he had not noticed the boy. He looked to be about five years old and luckily all suspicious liquids were absent.

“Correct! You get an A!” Rin turned her smile to the little boy. He hopped out of his chair and shouted his joy. Sesshomaru stayed silent, wishing he was home with a good book. The boy finished some kind of happy dance and ran towards the door. While passing Sesshomaru, he took a handful of the silver hair and gave it a good tug. Sesshomaru twitched and thought again of the demon daydream. Killing villagers seemed like a fun idea just then.

Sesshomaru and Inuyasha’s moods brightened when they entered the Knight exhibit. There was a chess board with pieces as big as Rin, a little play set with two castles that allowed you to fight a war, a throne, some kind of dress up chest, and a sword stuck in a stone.

“See, it’s Disney!” Inuyasha said to Shippo, pointing at the sword in the stone. Shippo shook his head sadly, as if he couldn’t believe how stupid Inuyasha was. Sesshomaru agreed with the idea.

“You can try to pull the sword out if you want.” Kagome said before following Rin over to the dress up stuff. Inuyasha smirked at his brother.

“How about we make a wager? The one who pulls the sword out of the stone get’s to go out of a whole day while the other watches the kids.”

Sesshomaru scrutinized the sword with a frown before giving a slight nod. Together they moved to the sword. Sesshomaru stopped before the sword, but Inuyasha continued forward and rapped his hands around the sword. He tugged it.

And tugged.

And tugged.

The sword refused to move. Finally, panting for breath, he released the sword and backed up. Sesshomaru’s eyebrow went up as he watched his brother glare at the sword. Inuyasha turned his glare to Sesshomaru.

“Your turn.”

Sesshomaru moved forward and placed his hands on the sword. Really, it was in a children’s museum, how hard could it be? He tugged on it.

And tugged.

And tugged.

Sesshomaru let go of the sword and took a step back with a shake of his head. There was no way that sword was moving.

“That thing is stuck, I don’t think it is made to move.” Inuyasha scratched his head and gave a sight. “Guess neither of us win.”

“Kagome, can we try that?” Rin said from behind the two. They moved out of the way so that the little girl and Kagome could move forward.

“If you can pull the sword from the stone you will be the next King of England.” Kagome told the little girl with a smile. Rin’s eyes widened.

“Really? I want to try!” Rin reached for the sword and gave it a yank. It refused to move and Rin gave up with a pout before turning to Kagome. “You try!”

Kagome smiled at the little girl and reached for the sword. She tried to pull the sword upward… And it slid out of the rock with ease. The two men watched with wide eyes as the small woman accomplished what neither of them could do. Rin cheered.

“Kagome’s the King of England!” She shouted and skipped around the woman. Shippo came over and followed Rin’s example.

Inuyasha glanced over at Sesshomaru then quickly looked back at the group.

“We loosened it for her.”

“Hm…”

Sesshomaru hated the Tree House Museum.

Poor Sesshomaru, I torture him so much it isn't even... No, it is funny to me. Please review cause it is food for my soul.

Thank you.
