-Note- While we all know that no one here on this site owns or makes any money off of the unlikely pair that we all love, heres what you dont know.

-This beginning chapter was going to be for the Dokuga contest over on LJ- but I didnt end up entering it  because while it gives all the back story and stuffs- it just dosent include Sesshomaru, so I didnt think it would count.

Kagome the illustrious Shikon Miko, a woman who was unrivaled in the holy community was certainly an odd one.

For starters, while she grew up on a shrine, she had never worked on, at, in or around a shrine in any manner of maiden like duties. Instead the young woman hoped to find herself in law enforcement one day, her current job as a Prison guard seemed to fit the bill.

Her holy powers kept her safe from the evil that the prisoners seemed to ooze from every pore, and while that talent didn’t catch her many dates, it sure worked well here. Her prison was a beautifully run piece of the judicial system, sentences were carried out rather peacefully and the guards for the most part had little to do.

Her supervisors words easily broke thought her sense of growing complacency; she was to be transferred to the maximum security block. These men were not the typical life in prison type murders, rapists and general violent crime committers, here at the prison she had unwittingly fallen in love with, it was only yokai who found themselves in the maximum security block.

Kagome was understandably shocked at first, but was quickly introduced to the perks of the position, an undeniable promotion which included better pay, better hours, better parking, more vacation time and the chance to put her miko skills to good use. She was to be the lead miko on duty, and the shiny bars for her badge that signified her status as a supervisor were mere icing on her cake.

Kagome nearly floated back into the locker room to tell her fellow employees, hoping for cheers and congratulations, her bubble was quickly burst when they asked in near unison.
