Sesshomaru’s eyes narrowed on his father. Once more, the older man was up to something…

“Kagome, my dear, would you come here for a moment?” Toga asked, not even giving him a glance. Sesshomaru was sure that his father was doing this all on purpose, just to annoy him. Kagome did not notice the irritation radiating from Sesshomaru and walked over to Toga.

“What is it?” She asked sweetly. Sesshomaru had the sudden urge to go to her and kidnap her once more, but after the lecture from the time before he was not sure if it was worth it.

Toga moved his hand in a “come closer” gesture and Kagome leaned in. Their backs were to Sesshomaru now and their heads were entirely too close together. Dolly moved in and barked at the two and neither looked at the puppy but Toga reached over and picked the puppy up before bringing her to his lap.

He saw his father hand something to Kagome and figured it to be another flower and that broke the last straw. Sesshomaru got up from his chair and moved to Kagome. He picked her up just as easily as Toga had the puppy and walked out of the room.

“What did he give you this time, a rose?” He asked with a frown at her. Kagome just blinked up at him.

“No, he gave me an orange. He said that it will make me have children soon.”

Sesshomaru stopped in his tracks. His father had been playing him from the beginning, probably hoping for just the reaction Sesshomaru had produced. He thought it over for a second then decided that he didn’t really mind.

“After we are married. Would you like to practice?”
