Concern

Ok well seeing as though this is my first fanfiction since my insperational break through  hope you all like it.

Chapter 1: Concern

Kagome sat infront of the fire her eyes cosed and an annoyed look on her face. Sango, Miroku, Shippou, and Kirara all knew what had happened. But neither of them felt safe, in some ways, to try and cheer her up.

"Kagome...He'll be back" Sango said softly. She hated seeing her best friend upset, expsecially for someone who didn'r deserve it in the first place.

Kagome sighed and stood dusting herself off. She could feel the undead miko and Inuyasha. She knew they were together, thanks to her now fully awakend miko powers. She sighed once more and turned the opposite direction of the irritating pair. She began walkin off, when Sango called out to her.

"Kagome...where are you going?" She asked worry written all over her face.

"Tired." Kagome said, as if that had answered the question.

And without another word, kagome turned aroun and beganher journey to a destination she herself did not know.

She found herself standing infront og the Bone Eater's Well, after a long period of walking.

' I could easily go back home and block it off' She thought to herself as she found herself sitting on the well a blank look on her face.

She had started to jump into the well, when a pang feeling shot across her chest. There was a bright red light that emminted from the well and for a moment Kagome thought it had been Inuyasha. But when the light faded and not a dog-eared Hanyou stood in sight, anger welled up ten times as much in her heart.How dare he. He had told her countless times now that he loved her and that he would never hurt her. And yet he sneaks behind her back with a dead version of herself. Tears threatend to make an unexpected down pour, but she wouldn't allow it. She forced back the tears and made up her mind. She would return home for a couple of days and then return. She would only be returning for the sake of Sango and the others, excluding Inuyasha. She had told herself that she would no longer care about Inuyasha because love was something that wasn't meant for her She locked her heart away and threw the key somewhere she couldn't find it.With a loud sigh, she jumped into the well. She had known something was off when she didnt see the wierd dark colored magic that seemed to flow around her every time she time jumped. But when she found herself, on her knees in the middle of demon bones, she realized something was terribly wrong.She climbed out of the well and tried again. After the twenty-fifth or twenty-sixth try she finally gave up and climbed out.

"Urgh! You stupid and piece of urgh!" She shouted out her fstration as she kicked the front of the well.

As soon as she did so a seering pain shot through her whole body. Leaving her cussing and raging. Her body slumped against the well as she forced herself to sit down. A extremely sad look came across her face as she buried it into her hands and sobbed.

Lord Sesshomaru watched as his half broters human wench jumped in and out of a common wll. It amused him to no end that she had become rather fustrated after awhile. He, for life of him, couldn't figure out what she had intended the well do for her nor did he understand why she had become so upset over it. he was deep in his wondering thoughts when the smell of salt hit his sense of smell. His attention was drown immediatly to the miko that had just moments ago been standing and cussing, now sat with her head in her arms and crying as though one of her best friends had died and the world was going to end.

His body moved without much of a thought, and though his instincts told him to stay away from the crying miko, he couldnt stop himself from moving.

Kagoe felt his presence way before she saw his feet on the ground infront of her. she had taken the time it took him to walk over, to wash away the trace, or any noticable hint that she had been crying. She had even cleared her throat.

"What Ails you human?" Lord Sesshomaru said in his normal stotic voice.

"Nothing that concerns you." Kagome said as she stood and stared him right in the eye. Normally she would have high-tailed it as soon as she saw him, but she was so angry and emotionally wrecked that she had even lost the common emotion people had when facing the Lord of the Western lands. Fear.

"You will mine your tounge wench." Lord Sesshomaru said as he flexed his claws .

Kagome stomped her foot and made a hmpfing sound, as she pointed a small dainty finger at him.

"What is with you Inu no Tashio's and calling me a wench. It's Kagome. Kah-Go-May." She said as she jabbed her finger his way as she pronounced her name.

Sesshomaru's eyes went wide in a split second. No one had ever dared to openly compare him to his half-breed brother, nor had they ever lived. His eyes slanted lightly and became slightly glazed with red. He opened his mouth to speak, but she cut him off with the wave of her hand.

"I don't have time for this. If yuo want to kill Inuyasha. He isn't here." She said and for a moment tears threatend to fall but she pushed them back and began to walk away.

"This Sesshomaru has not come for the Hanyou." Lord Sesshomaru said simply ad Kagome stopped and turned around an amused look now on her face all signs of angerand  distress gone from her scent.

"The tel me why are you here?" She asked before continuing her leaving.

Lord Sesshomaru stood with a smirk on his face. Maybe his brother's wench wasn't at all what he had tought. she had more courage or stupidty than many demons he had encountered throughout his life span. She had even imposed him with a question , he himself did not know, he desperatly sought an answer.

Why had he come to her aid? Whywas it when she had become amused, he seemed to feel the wierd feeling in his chest cease. Yes there was something mysterious about that little human.
