Love Means.......

Author’s Note: This is my first fic…so be nice please. Critiques are welcome, flames are not.

Kagome and Sesshoumaru had been dating only a few months. She had met him at a local coffee shop while she worked at and had accidently spilled some coffee on him while she was balancing the rest of his order. She had apologized profusely and even offered to pay for the shirt, which he refused and told her that if she wished to make it up to him then a date would be more than enough. Eventually one date had turned into two dates and then after a little time, into a full-fledged relationship. Kagome could never remember a point in her life when she was so happy. Smiling down at the ring Sess had given her for their sixth month anniversary she felt so excited. He was on his way to her house to pick her up saying that he had an extra special surprise planned for her besides the ring. Giving her reflection a quick check in the mirror, she could barely contain herself. She had chosen to wear a form-fitting black biker suit that suited her perfectly seeing as he was picking her up on his motorcycle. He had wanted to ditch the car tonight and take her on a wild ride on their way to his surprise for her. Hearing the roar of an engine downstairs, she smiled and looked at herself once more liking her smoky makeup and pulled back ponytail for the ride. Skipping downstairs she passed her mother and gave her a quick kiss, saying she would be back later. Making her way out the door she put on a big smile as she looked down the shrine steps to see her boyfriend of six months looking up at her a small smirk on his face. Not saying a word, she hurried down the steps and after a quick kiss she hopped on the back of his bike and they sped off into the evening. Kagome loved the feeling of the wind in her hair as they flew through the city, which eventually turned into countryside as they traveled.  They talked a little as they went and then after about an hour or so he fell silent, keeping his eyes on the road. Sess was never one for many words and she understood that, instead enjoying the ride and feeling the thrill as he accelerated slightly faster every once in a while. However she noticed that after traveling that the speed he had reached had become  a little faster than she had liked and she nudged him a little as she held him from the back.

Kagome: “Sess?? Slow down a little….we are going way to fast and it’s making me nervous.”

Sesshoumaru: “Kagome? Why? Isn’t this fun?”

Kagome: “No its not. Please, slow down it's too scary!”

Sesshoumaru: “Then tell me you love me.”

Kagome:” Fine, I love you, Sesshoumaru! Now slow down!”

Sesshoumaru: “Now give me a big hug.”

Feeling a bit puzzled Kagome gave him a hard squeeze around his middle as they continued to speed through the countryside.

Sesshoumaru: “Kagome….Can you take my helmet off and put it on? It's bugging me.”

Wondering why he would ask her to do such a thing, she used one arm to remove his helmet and carefully put it on…...

In the paper the next day: A motorcycle had crashed going at a high rate of speed because of brake failure. Two people were on the motorcycle, but only one survived. The truth was that halfway down the road, the Sesshoumaru had realized that his brakes had gone out, but he didn’t want Kagome to know and panic. Instead, he had her say she loved him, felt her hug one last time, then had her wear his helmet so she would live even though it meant he would die.

( I based this off of a story I found online and decided to try writing)
