    Sesshomaru sighed and checked his watch for the third time in as many minutes. It was six fifteen in the morning, he still had half an hour until his plane boarded. He was heading home from the United States. He’d left home exactly two weeks and three days ago. His wife had been a little upset at the long distance and the extended time of his stay, but he had reassured her that he’d be back in no time at all.

    As he played with the ring on his finger, he inwardly smiled at the thought of being able to hold his wife once more. They’d been married for a hundred years and in another decade or so they’d decided it would be the perfect time to try for young ones. She was the one who’d brought up the idea of waiting a while and having plenty of time to themselves before starting a family of their own. Of course his parents had been upset, telling them that they’d expected grand children within the first few years. Though it had only been Kagome and himself, the past century had been the happiest time of his life.

    Sesshomaru started slightly as his flight was announced as ‘now boarding’. His excitement flared at the thought of home. Only 17 more hours, and then I can wrap my arms around her once more! Sesshomaru found his seat and closed his eyes, ready to sleep throughout the flight. My Kagome…
