Part 2 of Mysterious intentions

Chapter 1

Kagome stood out on the balcony, watching the setting sun. She sighed. Where was he? He promised he'd be back tonight! She took one final look before turning away and into their bedroom. Kagome took a seat on the bed, leaning back to stare at the star painted ceiling.

Knock knock

"Come in." She called. Rin walked in, she was dressed in a beautiful orange and yellow kimono, contrast to her pale skin, her charcoal hair done up in a braided bun.

"Momma..."she started. "He's not back yet is he?" she sat next to Kagome. Kagome's own kimono was shades of blue and sliver, layered, although it was starting to get wrinkled from where she was twisting it so much from worry.

"No, he's not, and he knows how important tonight is!" Kagome got up, stomping her foot. Being lady of the Western Lands, didn't improve her temper one little bit. Rin sighed, her mother was antsy about the baby, only because her father, Sesshomaru, had never left her side, but then he got called away on "Business." Rin snorted Business that didn't allow him to bring his mate with him was not business all the lords knew how important it was for mates to be together. Rin looked at her mother. Her hair was tied into a semi-twisted braid; she let it trail down her back, her porcelain skin glowed against darker shades of her intricate kimono. As much as Rin wanted to help her mother, she had a date, and she needed to leave.

"Mom, dad's letting me date Furi, we're going to the fall festival, we'll be back late tonight, and Shippo is going with us." Kagome had returned to the balcony, but she nodded her head.

"Hai, Rin, have fun. I'll go call off the event since your Stupid Baka of a fathe--"

"I know you're not talking about me? Are you Mate?" Sesshomaru appeared in the door. Kagome crossed her arms and turned away from. Rin looked from one parent to the other, before deciding to give her father a hug.

"Hello Daddy! How was your trip?" Rin hugged her father before stealing a glance at her mother.

"Fine, it was an attack..." at hearing these words Kagome spun around forgetting her anger for the moment and walked up to him searching for injuries. Sesshomaru nodded his head for Rin to leave the room. She did.

"Where, Sesshomaru," she addressed him with ice in her tone, "are you hurt?" Kagome had hands on her hips looking like a mother giving discipline. Sesshomaru took her hand, kissing it as he led it up to his heart, his chest, which was bare because Kagome removed his horai.

"Here. Right here, right now you've wounded me." He said as he bent to kissing her cheek. Kagome bowed her head, but refused to feel bad. He was late after all, and broke his promise.

"You were late; I was standing at the balcony for the whole afternoon! Sesshomaru you said you'd be back at noon, no excuses!" she rub a hand over her growing belly, this stress couldn't possible good for the baby. God why was he making this something light! Insufferable man!

"I was worried sick! You didn't even answer my metal call for you! What if something happened?" she questioned, really and truly, it was her mood swings making her this way, but what was she suppose to do about it, it wasn't like she had any control over it, and she's be damned if he was going to write this off as a little nothing, as what her natural nature.

"Calm down, mate, nothing has happen, the pup is making you moody," he stated it as if were simply fact, nothing more. Kagome smiled an evil grin; she knew something that would set Mr. Fluff in his place.

"Oh, by the way did I forget to mention that Rin and Furi went to the Fall Festival..." he didn't look surprised, after he had allowed Furi to court his beloved daughter. Kagome went on... "Alone, unescorted, I imagine Shippo going to meet Sotan." She laughed as his face, went from cool and collected to a frenzied panic.

"You let our daughter go out...UNACOMPANIED!" he roared. Kagome walked over to his side touch his arm, in a comforting way, smiling up at him.

"Calm down, Shippo is with them, Sotan is off visiting her family, and Shippo will see that nothing happens." Ha! Karma was bitch and he totally deserved it. Sesshomaru exhaled the breath he didn't realize he was holding.

"Women you can't scare me like that, it can't be healthy for the pup." Kagome laughed,

"I'm the one who is pregnant; speaking of which if I remember correctly you need to feed the baby your youki, and the baby shower is still on, so let's hurry I don't want to keep the guests waiting." Kagome said impatiently as she moved him to the bed where she sat in his lap as his hands were placed on her growing belly. Kagome closed her eyes, at the slight discomfort, Sesshomaru aura was being transferred into her belly so the baby would be able to survive, and be a hanyou. This usually only took minutes for Sesshomaru would feed the baby daily to give it extra strength but he'd been away and the baby was feeding greedily. Sesshomaru finally stopped,

"He's getting stubborn, just like you." He said changing into his comfortable hakama and horai, Kagome pulled on a maternity kimono, as the baby demanded she wear to get it and herself comfortable.

"What makes you so sure it will be a boy? I want a girl." Kagome said.

"Because, I will not be able to handle a girl, I'm worried about Rin as it is, and she's not my blood, can you imagine how I will be with my own daughter?" he questioned as he pulled her into a light hug, breathing in her scent. Ah, it was nice to smell the sweet western strawberries that were her natural scent, mixed in with his own as a result of their mating. Kagome visualized Sesshomaru sharpen his claws when suitors came to see his daughter. She giggled.

"I can't have a boy, I will baby him, and I won't let you train him from birth, I need a girl," she replied doing up her hair, again. He led her out of their room.

"And I need a son. Plus the male choose so you are giving me a son." Kagome eyed him.

"I don't care i'm making sure our baby is a girl!" they continued to argue all the way down to the Grand Doors.

"Our pup will be a boy!" the doors to grand hall opened as he finished his statement.
