Under the Cherry Trees

The bottle of sake was empty already but Sesshoumaru couldn't care less, specially when he had such a beautiful view in front of him.

Kagome was dancing.

She was barefoot, even tabi discarded, the bottom of her kimono folded up in a very unladylike manner, so high up Sesshoumaru could see the palest skin on her creamy thighs; and she was spinning under the falling sakura blossoms, dancing at the rhythm of her own laughter.

Sesshoumaru's heart warmed up to her.

For a woman and a Lady, Kagome was so very unladylike, he thought. She refused to wear make up and do her hair in the complicated knots that was the fashion among noblewomen. She had refused even more strongly to dress in the heavy multi-layered kimono befitting someone of her new status and she challenged his authority everyday, as though she liked to do it.

She was the servants' nightmare, Sesshoumaru smirked, they will have a fit when they see the wrinkles on the silk cloth. But he couldn't care less. Perfection came in the strangest packages and he had stated how perfect Kagome was by mating her. 

Kagome stopped, panting, and the sudden silence felt like a loss to him. Then she smiled and Sesshoumaru felt his lips mirroring hers. Standing there, flushed and with a mess of black and pink as her hair, she looked to him more beautiful than ever. 

A soft breeze ran through the trees and brought with it a rain of petals, Kagome lifted her head and closed her eyes, feeling the smooth caress of the dying flowers on her face. And when one tiny petal dared to kiss her lips, Sesshoumaru sprang from the blanket he was sitting on and assaulted her, earning himself a surprised shriek that he soon quieted with his lips.

Under the cherry trees of Kagome's private garden, he made love to her. 

As if to confirm she was, indeed, to be with him.
