Hear Me Now
Authors note: This is my first ever song-fic, it is by Framing Hanley, the songs title is Hear Me Now.
I swear to God we've been down this road before
The guilts no good, and it only shames us more
He had done it again, he had promised not to, begged her to not leave.
Again.
It was like the sweetest candy, an addiction he couldn't break. He adored her with all his heart.
But here he was, alone now that his nightly visitor had left. Head bowed, tears feathered his lashes, sorrow encompassing his features. He really did love her. Yet here he was again.
Another women, another night, another sin. He hadn't touched her in a month, she suspected of course that it was happening again. In the morning he would wake by a cold spot since she would have already left, knowing she wouldn't have to look upon him again and let another piece of her heart break.
And the truths that we all try to hide, are so much clearer when its not our lives
When we don't face the blame
He couldn't understand why he went down this road, it was never supposed to be him, his life, his marriage, no it was supposed to be his brothers. He was the responsible, honorable, sensible one, but here he was. Within his dark office, street lights and a single desk lamp fighting the darkness off and keeping him company.
Why.
Why had it come this, they had two wonderful children, happily married, the perfect home. Yet here we are again at the same conclusion. This wasn't the first time, it was a recurring nightmare which would end terribly.
Groaning softly, he pushed away from his desk and made his way to the elevator that would take him to his passage home.
Won't you (get on your knees)
believe (have faith)
in this lie with us all.
now my body's on the floor and I am calling, well I'm calling out to you...can you hear me now??
It struck him then, when he came upon his car, it was the one she picked out and bought for their tenth anniversary. Dropping to the ground he stared at his warped reflection within the sleek shining metal. He could never let her find out. She would leave, the children to. Their life gone down the drain like aged food. Whimpering softly he closed his golden eyes, pained greatly by the horrible metaphor his mind created of their marriage.
It was over.
He knew it, she knew it, the world knew it. He would no longer she her happy smile, hear the laughter in her voice when he tried his hand at cooking, never again would her presence be there in his life, just a flicker of remembrance.
Would there be another chance?
No, even with her ever forgiving heart, he had gone to far. This was his third strike and he was out, out for the count, out for the rest of the fight.
“Forgive me Kagome...” Bowing his head once more, he knew he would have to live with his lies, since that was all that was left to keep him warm at night.
It's not rebellion when you're selling out to an out of fashion salesman
Our promising lives, are full of empty promises
Shaking her head, she knew it was the end, her only two choices were to turn the other cheek and ignore the trespasses. Or. Grab the truth by the horns and fight for the love she knew was still held between them.
She didn't like either. She knew he would never change, and the pain only got worse as time went on. The times have changed, but most females would ignore the fact of the lies and enjoy the money an title that they gained by being married to a man of power.
Forbidden.
She could never do such a thing. Her heart was to light, and liked simple things not the glory of having the latest fashion and accessories.
The thing that bothered her the most, was their relationship was for eternity, mating a demon was like that. So even if she left, it was like she never did.
Temptations falling and calling you home again
well I'm sorry, if we've let you down
Rolling over, she stared at the wall. She didn't sleep anymore, the shadows soothed her hurting soul, but the darkness of her closed lids offered no solace but her own personnel hell. Biting down on the tender flesh of her lower lip she held in the sobs that tried to overtake her calm persona of the moment.
Home.
Heavy footsteps, weary from the lies and the world resounded in the quiet home.
He was home.
She should be happy, relieved, and so much more. She was empty, pained, and everything else that bellied her suffering. The soft squeak of the door caused her shoulders to stiffen as the sounds of his nightly ritual reached her ears.
Some times she pondered if it was her fault, if some how she did something wrong and caused him to stray. Maybe it was boredom, or a feeling of finished business. She bore him children, gave him her virginity, married and mated him, had ten decades of anniversaries, and maybe...maybe it was just time for it to end.
Won't you (get on your knees)
believe (have faith)
in this lie with us all.
Tomorrow.
Tomorrow, would be the day she filed for divorce and an end to this misery. This farce of a marriage and mating.
now my body's on the floor and I am calling, well I'm calling out to you...can you hear me now??
Now my bodys on the floor and I am crawling, I'm crawling out to you, can you feel me now??
Closing her eyes, she held back her tears, as her heart crumbled to pieces within her and her soul cried out in agony. She knew it was coming but prayed it would be the death of one of them.
Not this.
Never this.
But here they were.
He entered the bed beside her and wrapped his arms around her slim frame and pressed his face to the crook of her neck where his mark laid.
She believed he knew it to.
What's wrong, what's wrong, what's wrong
What had gone right for them.
Children.
Careers.
Five-hundred years of them.
For it all to end in a pile of broken shards gleaming back many images of them.
Happy.
Sad.
Joyful.
Proud.
Agonized.
Resentful.
Then it all began to meld and morph into what it was now. A mixture of all those feelings. But lacking the more lighter feelings. Darkness enshrouded them to much, caused by the lies, truths untold, blindness, and total ignorance.
Now my bodys on the floor and I am calling, I'm calling out to you
CAN YOU HEAR ME NOW?
They both knew this was it.
Since all good things come to an end....
Good bye Sesshoumaru.
AN: Please review, they make me happyful.
