Sesshomaru, what is Jaken? by Lady Midnight

Kagome woke up with and yawned with a smile on her face. It had been two months since the defeat of Naraku and everything was perfect, granted the fact that they still had a few jewel shards to find and Sesshomaru and Inuyasha still fight every now and then, but otherwise perfect.

She looked around and noticed that everyone was still asleep, 'What a perfect moment for a bath.' Kagome stood up, grabbed her bathing supplies and headed in the direction of the hot springs she'd noticed last night.

When she arrived she set her things down and breathed in the steam coming from it, that was when she noticed a seemingly frozen green thing with it's webbed hands covering what littled it could with a brown cloth. Noticing it was Jaken Kagome let out an ear splitting scream.

Sesshomaru's beautiful gold eyes snapped open and he bolted up straight at the same time Inuyasha did as the scream echoed through the clearing. 'Kagome.' Sesshomaru thought as Inuyasha said it. Both brothers stood and ran towards the direction of the mikos heavenly scent. Arriving moments later in a clearing with a hot springs to see Kagome frozen staring wide eyed at Jaken.

As they arrived Inuyasha screamed at the horrible sight of a half naked Jaken 'He's uglier than that toad prince, wait! Maybe he is a toad!' As Inuyasha was busy having a brain storm Kagome was ready to gouge her eyes out. As always doing what they least expected, she fainted. 

Luckily Sesshomaru caught her before she hit the ground. Turning to his retainer he glared and said, "Leave, Jaken. Now." Not needing to be told twice he put on his brown robe and hightailed it outta there.

Two hours later Kagome was finally coming too. As she opened her eyes she saw everyone huddled in front of her. Sango, Miroku, Shippo, Rin, Inuyasha, and even Kirara held concern in their eyes. She swore Au-Un and Sesshomaru even held it.

As she looked at Jaken she shuddered as disgusting images of his body came into her mind. It wasn't long before Inuyasha pulled her into a hug, "Are you okay Kagome?" Kagome nodded and pulled herself gently from his arms. She walked over to Sesshomaru and asked, "Can I talk to you? Alone?"

He gave a nod of his head and Kagome motioned for him to follow her. Soon she arrived at a clearing and stopped to look at him. "Sesshomaru, what is Jaken?" Sesshomaru smirked, "Why, he's a toad demon."

Kagome busted out laughing. "Jaken's a TOAD???!!!" Sesshomaru nodded and watched the little miko with amusment in his eyes. He walked up behind her and slipped his hands around her waist. Kagome stood up straight at the contact.

Turning around she was about to ask a question when his lips came in contact with hers. He kissed her sweetly and Kagome melted in his arms.  He leaned down and whispered, "Forget about Jaken, Kagome. I love you." into her ear. Kagome looked up at his handsome face and said, "Sesshomaru, I love you too." before leaning up and giving him a passionate kiss.
